Looking at John McCain’s financial disclosures for 2004 - 2006 you notice immediately that the candidate that says he warned congress about the greed and instability of the mortgage industry, invested heavily with almost half of his investment portfolio (2006) into the real estate and mortgage market, including investment notes in Fannie May, Freddie Mac, and Bear Sterns, and Lehman Bros.
Why would McCain shift his investment portfolio into almost 50% real estate, if at the same time he was supposedly warning about the industry?
